How a clean gets arranged

How do I arrange a clean?

Call 07781 446239 or send an enquiry through the contact page, and I will come back to you.

What happens after I send an enquiry?

I talk it through — the rooms, the tasks and roughly how long the visit will take. You then get a price for your home, agreed with you before anything is booked. Then I agree a regular day for your cleaning visit. You sign the customer agreement, and I confirm acceptance in writing before the first visit.

Should I send photos?

Yes. Both enquiry forms require at least one photo of the rooms or areas you would like cleaned, with up to 12 photos, up to 25MB each. Large photos are automatically resized for sending; your originals stay unchanged. Please leave people, documents, and any key-safe or alarm codes out of the pictures.

How will you get into my home?

How I get access — meeting you there, a key, or another arrangement — is agreed with you beforehand.

How do I change or cancel a visit?

Please give at least 14 days’ notice to change or cancel a visit or end the arrangement. With shorter notice, the normal regular-clean price is the starting charge, reduced for saved costs and replacement work so it does not exceed my reasonable net loss. Initial cooling-off rights are separate. The customer agreement explains the full terms.

Price

What it costs

How much does it cost?

Cleaning is £35 per hour with a minimum visit of three hours (£105). The booked time depends on your home, rooms and tasks. Any separately priced extras need your approval before I begin them.

What shapes the price?

Mostly how long the visit takes, which comes down to the size of the place and the number of rooms. Which tasks you pick matters too — a hoover-and-surfaces visit is quicker than one that also includes the oven and bed presentation. A first clean on a place that has not been done for a while usually takes longer than the visits after it. See how pricing works.

When is the price agreed?

The regular tasks, booked time and price are agreed before work starts. Extras can also be agreed during a visit, after I explain any extra time or price. Payment is by bank transfer or cash on the same day, after the clean.

What is included

The tasks you can ask for

Which tasks can I ask for?

Everyday room care — floors, work surfaces, hoovering, bathrooms, shower rooms, bed making and presentation. Extra jobs — ovens, skirtings and polishing, inside fridges and cupboards, windows, and limescale or mould attention. See the full list.

Do you make beds or change the bedding?

I make and present beds using the bedding already in place. I do not strip beds or change the linen.

Can you include ovens?

Yes. Oven cleaning is one of the tasks you can ask about.

Do you clean windows on the outside?

Windows are cleaned on the inside, and on the outside where they can be reached safely from the ground.

Can you deal with mould?

Small surface mould patches and limescale around taps and screens can be discussed. Recurring or extensive mould needs its underlying damp problem assessed; routine cleaning does not resolve that cause.

Do you clean carpets or upholstery?

No — full carpet and upholstery cleaning is not something I offer. A stain or a spill mark on a carpet or sofa is different: ask about it in your enquiry and I will say whether I can help.

Practical

Where I work

Where do you cover?

I work across Guernsey. Tell me your parish when you send an enquiry and I will confirm.

Do I need to choose a fixed package?

No. Every home is different, so the visit is built from the rooms and tasks you choose. There are no fixed bundles you have to squeeze into.

Still got a question?

Ask it in your enquiry, or give me a ring — I would rather answer it than have you guess.
